The recruitment process

  1. First screening                                                                                                                                                          We continuously screen the applications we receive. In the screening process we use your application to determine to what degree your professional and personal competences meet the requirements of the specific job or other jobs in our organisation. If we find the match between you, the job, and the company to be sufficient, you will be invited in for an interview.  Typically, a job posting will be open for 3-4 weeks. However, if we find we have enough qualified applicants, we will close it earlier. The deadline for applying will be stated on the individual posting.
  1. First interview
When our HR Department has received your application, the hiring manager and the HR coordinator will evaluate which candidates to call in for the first interview. At this interview you will meet the responsible manager, maybe an employee from the department, along with the HR coordinator. The focus of the interview will be your professional competences, but your personal skills and your motivation for applying for the job will also be topics. The interview usually lasts 45-60 minutes.
  1. Second interview
Based on the first interview, the candidates most qualified for the job will be invited for a second interview. Here you will have the possibility to ask further questions based on your impressions from the first interview, just as we will be asking follow-up questions. At this interview you will typically meet the manager from the department along with the HR coordinator The interview will typically last 45-60 minutes.

Personal profile and tests
If it is relevant for the position, you will be asked to fill out a personal profile and possibly also a proficiency test and or/ language test. Typically, this will take place before the second interview and during this interview you will get feedback on the result. The results will influence the final evaluation of your match with Metro Service and the position in question.

References
To verify the information given at the interview to gain further information, we will collect references from your current or past employers. Naturally, we will only collect references with your permission.

  1. Employment
When all interviews have been completed, we will once again evaluate the candidates and offer the job to the most qualified candidate(s). If you have been chosen, you will receive a contract and an employee handbook. The contract must be signed electronically and returned to HR. In the weeks before you first day of work you will receive a number of E-learning modules from Metro Service. This gives you the opportunity to get to know more about your new work place before you start.

For some jobs, the offer to hire you will be conditioned by whether you can obtain a health certificate from The Danish Transport, Construction and Housing Authority. If this is relevant for you, you will have been informed about this during the interview process.
